This memorial not only honors all those we lost 50 years ago but also serves as a legacy for our active and future marines. The 5th Marine Regiment Memorial Garden at Camp Pendleton is open to the public and we encourage you to visit with your children and grandchildren.

My wife Rita, my son and his wife, and my granddaughters joined me at the dedication ceremony and reception of the 5th Marine Regiment Vietnam War Memorial at the Memorial Gardens at Camp Pendleton on May 28, 2018. It was a moving and honoring ceremony to recognize all those who gave their lives in the line of duty while serving in the Vietnam Wall. I personally knew eight of the men who’s names are engraved on the 2/5 black granite wall during the year 1969. Finally, after almost 50 years, these men are being honored and recognized for giving their ultimate sacrifice, their lives to their country.
