What is a USMC Marine?
In the past, current, and future battles that Marines train for, it is in every Marine’s mindset to defeat the challenges, obstacles, and adversaries that hinder our Nation’s progress. They can assess each situation quickly and make strategic decisions according to the facts at hand and conditions on the ground. They are able to think, act and move with a sense of purpose to carry out our Nation’s purpose.
The Marine Corps mission reflects every Marine’s purpose. In essence, our Nation is that purpose. In our world, in ourselves, and in our way, there are conflicts, challenges, and obstacles that must be fought confidently and defeated convincingly for our Nation to prevail.
Comprised not of a brotherhood or sisterhood—this is a warriorhood. Marines represent the face of our Nation because they come from all parts of it, contributing different backgrounds and walks of life into the fight that defends America’s way of life. Driven by an innate desire to answer our Nation’s call, an unwavering commitment to emerge victorious, and a collective purpose that defines our unbreakable bond, Marines win the battles in front of them with an inner fight running through them.
