Our hosts, Joe and Lynn Sonderman welcome you to historic Charleston, South Carolina bursting with Southern charm and hospitality. The city feels a bit like it’s suspended in time, thanks to its antebellum architecture and surrounding plantation landscapes. Take in incredible views of the Battery and the French Quarter as you stroll the Waterfront Park, then become inspired by the cultivated beauty of the gardens at Middleton Place. Stand on the site of the first shot in the Civil War. Come face to face with a giant sea turtle. Take a tour of an antebellum (Southern Bell) mansion. Climb aboard a WWII aircraft carrier. Get an in-depth look at Charleston in the 1860’s and the pivotal role the city played during the War Between the States.
