You are cordially invited to join us for our annual HOTEL 2/5 REUNION being held in Branson, Missouri this OCTOBER 19th to 22nd. It promises to be an entertaining, exuberant, and colorful time for all! Branson is a world-class destination with amazing entertainment and vibrant outdoor scenes, tucked away in the Ozark mountains.
Now, ‘the best of both worlds.’ Branson, Missouri has a population of around 12,000 to 13,000 people. Branson is a Veteran Friendly entertainment mecca in the heart of the Midwest. We will enjoy the fall splendor of the Magnificent Ozarks, take a luncheon show cruise on the Branson Bell, and enjoy our annual dinner/auction. There are dozens of shows and exciting attractions available. So, get registered and come, we want to see you and greet you back!
Our REUNION HOTEL – ‘Thousand Hills Resort Hotel’, celebrates the architecture and beauty that makes it so distinctive. The hotel lies at the center of all the action and is close to all of the entertainment. Come and enjoy the pool and hot tub, fitness center, discounted golf, and free wi-fi access.
Branson is well known for its numerous entertainment theaters, local outdoor attractions, its performing arts center, and music concerts. you will want to use the free trolly service to travel through the historical downtown area to visit the outdoor shopping mall and restaurants.
Please come and check in Thursday afternoon, AFTER 3 pm October 19th, and personally greet Kris and me in the hotel 2/5 reception room at the hotel. As this year’s hosts, we wish to personally greet each of you and thank you for coming to this year’s annual reunion. Our theme this year is “Smiling and Laughter together!” We kick off with a meet and greet social on Thursday the 19th with plenty of munchies. BYOB. Mixers and soft drinks will be provided. Catch up with each other and renew friendships forged in fire.
We will be going together as a group on Friday (11 AM – 3:00 PM) to the Branson landing dock on Table Rock Lake to have and enjoy some great entertainment with the water and fire show on the dock, and lunch with entertainment aboard the Branson Belle Steamboat. This event is covered by your registration fee. No extra cost to you.
Saturday is free time to explore and enjoy Branson. Take in a show, visit the museums and the veteran center, or enjoy many of the outdoor attractions. That evening is the Company Dinner and Auction. This year we will have “The Taste of Italy” buffet. Plan on an outstanding evening. Men should be dressed in suits and ladies in dresses/pantsuits. No shorts or teeshirts will be accepted. Just a reminder that we will also be holding our fundraising auction too. Each family that comes should bring at least one nice item with them to the auction for Joe to auction off.
As a reminder, the entertainment shows fill up quickly. You must register online at least three months in advance to get your prepaid reservation to guarantee you’ll have a good seat. So, plan wisely. We left Friday late afternoon and night, and Saturday day open for you to individually plan for your preferred entertainment in Branson.
Branson has a humid subtropical climate with characteristics of a continental climate. This simply means that the average temperature highs are about 70 degrees F and about 48 degrees F at night. The average rainfall in October is 3.86 inches. So, bring along a jacket and/or sweatshirt and maybe an umbrella.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you! It is always good to share experiences and catch up with old friends.
